I’ve stayed in villas in many different places and the Anantara in Mai Khao, Phuket is my clear favorite. Not the newest of properties but it has maintained a clear charm and feel that outshines newer establishments. The service standards and attention to detail from the check-in counter, restaurant, concierge, etc. is impeccable. Mai Khao is about one hour away from Patong Beach and is nestled away in a location north of the airport. You will not be disappointed.
